1961 LAUNCESTON K.O CUP Final
STOKE CLIMSLAND 2-1 BERE ALSTON
John Cook, Keith Marquand..........Davies
NOT OF A HIGH STANDARD
Due mainly to the high wind football in this Launceston and District Knock-out Cup Final on the Launceston Town ground on Tuesday evening did not reach a high standard.
The players found it difficult to control the ball, but they did their best to make the game interesting and it proved a keen and clean tussle.
Taking the game as a whole, Stoke Climsland just about deserved their win by two goals to one.
Scorers were Cook and Marquand (Stoke Climsland) and Davies (Bere Alston)
The cup was presented to the captain of the Stoke Climsland team by Mr L. H. Goodman, President of the Launceston and District Football Competitions
