EXCITING MOMENTS IN K.O CUP FINAL
BRADWORTHY 2-0 STOKE CLIMSLAND
Roy Clarke (2)
A goal in each half from centre-forward Roy Clarke won Bradworthy the Launceston and District Knock-out cup on Tuesday- their fourth cup of the season. Bradworthy who reached the final by beating Pensilva 6-1 were slightly the stronger in all departments but were given some anxious moments.

After Clarke's early goal, Stoke retaliated and a hard shot from Alan Skeet- saved by Sparry. Bradworthy netted again, but this time were ruled offside.
Stoke pressed hard before the interval and Michael Evely had his shot stopped.

The strong Bradworthy defence held out the incessant attacks after the interval, and gradually gained the upper hand again. After some tripping in the Stoke goal-mouth, Bradworthy were awarded a penalty, which had to be taken twice. The first time Clarke drove it into the net, but the referee ordered it to be taken again as someone was inside the area- but Clarke put the ball in exactly the same place the second time.

Stoke with centre half Marquand prominent were without their regular goalkeeper Sleep (it was the first game he had missed for the season), and Warne, usually an inside forward, performed well in his place, but was missed in attack. Bradworthy captain Alan Cann received the cup from the president of the competition Mr J.Hobbs
