1987 LAUNCESTON K.O CUP Final

DOBWALLS 4-1 BOSCASTLE

Jon Hake(2),Kingsley Mortimore, Mark Jeffery........Boscastle scorer
Dobwalls became Launceston Cup champions after a convincing win in the final replay. They last won the cup in 1971-72 and have been beaten semi-finalists in the past five seasons. The only disappointment was that in the remaining five minutes Jon Hake sustained a broken foot
It was Hake who gave Dobwalls the lead after 15 minutes when he headed home a Dave Skews cross. Hake also scored the second with a low header from mis-directed Andy Hill shot. Dobwalls control on the game was only tested twice when a bad pass beat 'keeper Thomas only for the ball to be hooked off the line and a header was well saved.
Dobwalls continued to play good football in the second half and went 3 nil up when a delightful move between Watts, Richards and Burchell set Hill free and his cross was driven home by Kingsley Mortimore.
Mark Jeffery added Dobwalls fourth when he blasted home a Skews cross. Boscastle scored a consolation goal with two minutes remaining.
