ROBERTSON'S HAT-TRICK WINS THE FINAL

Stoke Climsland won the Launceston Cup for the first time since 1960-61 after taking the lead after 5 minutes when Dave Robertson made space for himself and flighted a 25 yard shot over 'keeper Belbin.
Calstock hit back after 30 minutes when the Stoke defence failed to clear a long throw-in and Wayne Ffoulkes scored the equaliser. Five minutes later Calstock were in the lead when Darrell Towers a fine shot between the post and Brian Baker's outstretched hand.

Stoke dominated most of the second half as their opponents were handicapped by the loss of Steve Metters who went into hospital with a serious leg injury. Stoke's saving equaliser was not scored until well into injury time and was headed home by Dave Robertson from a corner by Colin Olver.
In extra time Stoke swarmed over Calstock but it was not until the second period that Dave Robertson completed his hat-trick following an excellent cross-field ball by John McIntyre.
The game was not sealed however because Andy Martyn forced Brian Baker into a good diving save and Calstock had a goal disallowed whilst at the opposite end Ian Coombe headed just over and Steve Aggett rifled a shot just wide
